Baby's First Book by the Rag and Bone Bindery - Red Rockets
This charming ribbon bound baby book contains 24 whimsical pages such as "How Mom and Dad Met", "How We Picked Your Name", "The Big Day", plus many more pages to capture your precious memories of baby's first year. The book also includes a vellum envelope to hold clippings from baby's first haircut or other mementos.
 
What's unique about this baby book is that it is hand bound by the artisans of the Rag and Bone Bindery in New England. The book is bound with exclusive handmade decorative papers.

Kid friendly & mom friendly, Red Rockets is a printed cotton fabric with a whimsical flying rockets pattern.

Eco-Friendly

 RAG & BONE BINDERY ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Below is a listing of the materials and processes used to create Rag & Bone Books and their environmental impact.

RAG & BONE PAPERS
The paper pages for all of our books and our paper goods contain 30% Post Consumer Content and are sourced from a local mill which is FSC Certified.

RAG & BONE PRINTING
All of our printed goods - from books to packaging to collateral materials are printed by a local FSC certified printer.

RAG & BONE BOARD
The covers for our books (book board) contain 100% recycled content with a minimum 75% post consumer waste. The mill is currently undergoing FSC certification.

RAG & BONE ADHESIVES
Produced using natural (no synthetic) ingredients and are manufactured in a local facility - within driving distance to the Bindery.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS
The entire manufacturing process is done in-house in our Rhode Island based bookbinding studio - no overseas sourcing of any finished goods or components. We hire & train local bookbinders and create all of our books - from design to material handling to binding and finishing.

TRANSPORTATION IMPACT
As the majority of our raw materials are sourced either locally (preferred) or domestically, the impact on transporting materials is reduced.

POST CONSUMER
Our products are archival and are created to last a lifetime. Rag & Bone Books are intended to be on the shelves of our customers for years to come, they are not expected to end up in landfills.
